Services To Members

ESC has over 2500 members from the electronics and computer software/ITeS industry. ESC provides its members a varied set of services, some of which are listed below:

Acts as a link between the Government and its members and provides a platform for interaction on policy issues.

REIMBURSEMENT OF TESTING AND CERTIFICATION

Trade Connect Portal of the Ministry of Commerce and Industry (www.trade.gov.in) provides a dedicated facility for testing and certification under the module Bharat Aayat Niryat LabSetu. Through this module, members can explore available laboratories and tests, apply for sample testing, and track the status of their applications.
Additionally, members can benefit from the Trade Regulations, Accreditation & Compliance Enablement (TRACE) scheme, which offers partial reimbursement of eligible expenditure incurred by MSMEs engaged in international value chains. This includes costs related to testing, inspection, certification, audits, traceability systems, and other conformity assessment requirements mandated for market access or for demonstrating compliance with internationally recognized standards.
For both, members have to login to www.trade.gov.in using their credentials (same as DGFT portal).

India–USA Trade Facilitation – FOR ESC MEMBERS

India–USA Trade Facilitation Portal Hosted by Consulate General of India,
New York (In collaboration with Embassy of India Washington DC and Consulate General of India Chicago, Los Angeles, Atlanta, Boston, Houston, Seattle and San Francisco), aimed at accelerating trade engagement between India and the United States.

2. Complete your registration at the earliest

Registration Steps for Indian Exporters:
1. Click on the registration link and select “Exporter”.
2. Enter your IEC code and upload the IEC certificate (auto-validation enabled).
3. Fill in your business details, specifying whether you deal in goods, services, or both.
4. Under Council Membership select Electronics and Computer Software Export Promotion Council and upload the membership certificate issued from DGFT Portal.
5. Upload business documents: GST, PAN, and Certificate of Incorporation (additional documents may also be added).
6. Provide details of the authorized person and upload Aadhaar (auto- verification enabled).
7. Set your password, verify email and mobile number, and submit your profile.
8. ESC will verify membership and approve the registration.
9. Upon approval, you will receive a confirmation email along with recovery codes.
10. Log in using two-step authentication to start using the portal.

Annual membership subscription is charged according to export of Electronics goods or Computer Software or ITeSs made by the firm/company during the year prior to the immediate preceding year as detailed in the following table:

MARKET ACCESS SUPPORT SCHEME

Market Access Support Scheme is an Export Promotion Scheme envisaged to act as a catalyst to promote India’s exports on a sustained basis. The scheme is formulated on focus product-focus country approach to evolve specific market and specific product through market studies/survey. Assistance would be provided to Export Promotion Organizations/Trade Promotion Organizations/National Level Institutions/ Research Institutions/Universities/Laboratories, Exporters etc., for enhancement of exports through accessing new markets or through increasing the share in the existing markets. Under the Scheme the level of assistance for each eligible activities has been fixed. Under the scheme, ESC organises trade promotion activities for the benefit of members such as: 1. Participation in approved trade fairs abroad 2. Reverse Buyer Seller Meets Participating members enjoy the benefit of subsidized cost of participation fees in trade fairs abroad.

Air fare assistance

Eligible companies will get air fare assistance upto Rs 75000 ( Rs 1 lakh for LAC and North America) or the cost of the ticket ( whichever is lower).

ESC member for at least last 12 months
Export more that Rs 2 lakh and less than Rs 30 crore in preceding year
Export turnover submitted to ESC for running financial year and for previous 2 financial years
ESC annual membership fee paid upto running financial year without any arrears for current and previous years.
Maximum 2 reimbursements of air fare in 1 financial year. ( One company can participate only 2 times under MAI scheme in 1 financial year)
One company can participate for maximum 3 times in 1 event.

Essential documents required to be submitted with the application

Copy of Importer – Exporter Code (IEC) Number issued by the office of DGFT (Please attach a self certified copy)
If registration is required as a manufacturer exporter, a photocopy of the evidence indicating that applicant is manufacturer. (Copy of SSI registration certificate/SIA approval acknowledgement 100% EOU or EPZ board approved letter etc.).
Copy of GST – Goods and Services Tax – issued by the Government of India (GST Department)
